Case Study: Bloom Host
A provider of dedicated virtual private servers for gaming, Bloom Host was seeing unreliable service from its colocation provider. The Bloom Host team turned to VPLS for better colocation services and customer support.
VIP Foodservice partnered with VPLS to enhance its network leveraging Fortinet’s secure SD-WAN solution. By partnering with VPLS, VIP Foodservice has vastly improved its business continuity, user experience, and overall security posture.
VIP Foodservice serves a diverse base of over 760 operators, including resorts, restaurants, grocery stores, healthcare, and schools. This includes Maui County islands of Maui, Molokai, and Lanai. VIP Foodservice is committed to helping customers become more cost-efficient and profitable, allowing you more time to focus on the satisfaction of your patrons.
Fortinet’s Secure SD-WAN provides intelligent path selection for VIP Foodservice’s two ISPs. While both ISPs are up, the best possible path (lowest latency, jitter, and packet loss) is chosen for the traffic between VIP Foodservice’s headquarters and their store, as well as to various services on the Internet. If one ISP fails, SD-WAN will instantly choose the next best possible path to route traffic.
VIP Foodservice’s users experience a measurable difference in cloud backup times after implementation. Their backup times sped up by 75%, dropping from a total of 12 hours to 4 hours to complete. This is thanks to this intelligent path selection made possible by VPLS’ deployed Fortinet SD-WAN solution.
