Bloom Host Game Hosting Selects VPLS as Its Colocation Provider
VPLS addresses Bloom Host’s colocation needs with custom turnkey colocation in Reston data center
In search of a colocation provider with excellent customer service and a reliable, high-speed network, Bloom Host selected VPLS to host their colocation at VPLS’s Reston facility at 1807 Michael Faraday Court.
As a trusted cloud-to-edge computing and solutions provider, VPLS has an extended global network of data centers and points of presence. The company’s Reston data center, known as DC1, is a highly secure Tier III facility that offers rich fiber connectivity right in the heart of Fairfax County. The building offers 24/7 engineering, security guard, and remote hands coverage with UPS-backed critical power from one of the most reliable power grids in the nation. Moving to VPLS’s DC1 data center greatly improved Bloom Host’s experience: their previous colocation service provider had slow, unreliable service and offered poor customer support.
For this turnkey colocation project, Bloom Host’s team took care of the migration while VPLS provided the cabinets and assisted with the network configuration. The two teams were in constant communication throughout the process and completed the project by working together. With VPLS, Bloom Host has seen a significant improvement in their service with high-speed bandwidth, no outages, and 24/7 access to a responsive support team.
Jay Smith, VP and General Manager of Data Centers for VPLS, adds, “Bloom Host has been a pleasure to work with. Our team is dedicated to providing the level of service needed for companies like Bloom Host to serve their clients effectively. We strive to put our customers first so we can make their experience with us as comfortable as possible.”
